Apple Launches 2024 Mac Mini with M4 Chip and AI

Apple has officially unveiled the new generation of the Mac mini, featuring a more powerful M4 processor, a smaller form factor, and advanced AI support. The 2024 Mac mini now starts at 16GB of RAM in all configurations, with a base model priced at $599. A higher-end configuration with the M4 Pro processor is available from $1,399.

The new Mac mini is significantly smaller, measuring only 12.7 cm in length and width. Apple achieved this compact design with a novel thermal architecture, circulating air at various levels inside the device to prevent overheating. The front panel features two USB-C ports and a 3.5mm audio jack, while the back has Ethernet, HDMI, and three USB-C/Thunderbolt ports, with USB-A ports removed.

Base models come with Thunderbolt 4, while the M4 Pro model supports the faster Thunderbolt 5. The M4 Pro variant also offers 14 CPU cores, 20 GPU cores, up to 64GB of RAM, and up to 8TB of storage. Equipped with “Apple Intelligence,” Apple’s proprietary AI system, the Mac mini 2024 is now available for pre-order and will launch on November 8.
