The Citroën Karin, introduced at the 1980 Paris Motor Show, turned heads with its daring, pyramid-like shape. Created by Citroën’s design lead, Trevor Fiore, this concept car was a sci-fi-inspired vision of the future. Its sleek, angular form featured a butterfly door coupe style and a unique three-seat layout, placing the driver centrally with passengers on either side. The Karin’s interior was equipped with a pop-up cathode-ray tube screen and door-panel computers for control functions, a glimpse of the high-tech possibilities ahead. Although never produced, the Karin remains an iconic piece of Citroën’s imaginative history.
