Expediency is a film directed and written by Hossein Darabi and produced by Mohammad Reza Shafah, produced in 2019. This film was present in the 39th Fajr Film Festival. The atmosphere of the film is in the first years after the revolution and is taken from a real story. The story begins when “Mahdi”, the son of Ayatollah Meshkatian, who is one of the high-ranking officials of the judiciary, commits murder, but he refuses to accept it, and the people around his father try to replace him with someone else for the “interest” of the revolution.
